What is decision intelligence in supply chain?
Decision intelligence is the layer that converts supply chain analytics into a specific recommended action, with the evidence, the expected impact and an owner attached. It answers what to do next rather than only reporting what happened.
How is decision intelligence different from business intelligence?
Business intelligence describes the past through dashboards and reports. Decision intelligence proposes the next action, quantifies its impact across service, cost and capacity, and carries it through approval to execution.
Is the AI allowed to act on its own?
Only within the limits you set. Decision rights define approval thresholds by exception class and by dollar or OTIF impact, so routine low-risk actions can flow automatically while material decisions always wait for a human.
How do you make AI recommendations auditable?
